Construction Dumpster Rental

Construction and remodeling debris arrives in phases. The right container depends on the phase, the mix of material, and how much space the site can give up for the duration.

Size guidance

  • Single-room remodel: 15 or 20 yard is common.
  • Multi-room remodel or addition: 20 or 30 yard, sometimes with a swap.
  • New construction or large commercial fit-out: 30 or 40 yard, scheduled around framing and finish phases.

Cost

Pricing factors for this work

  • Container size and included weight

  • Overage rate per ton for dense mixed debris

  • Number of swaps across the build

  • Rental duration and extra-day charges

  • Delivery distance and site access difficulty

  • Disposal, fuel and environmental fees

Materials

Material caveats worth confirming

  • Mixed loads containing concrete, brick or dirt are usually rejected or surcharged; separate that material.
  • Treated lumber, insulation and some finishes may have facility-specific rules.
  • Never assume a provider accepts a material because a previous job did — facility rules change.

Placement

Where the container sits

On active jobsites, plan the container position around truck turning room and the loading path. If the only workable spot is the street or a public right-of-way, confirm whether local authorization applies before delivery day.

20 Yard Dumpster

The 20 yard is the most frequently requested roll-off size for residential and light commercial work. It balances usable volume with a footprint that still fits many driveways.

30 Yard Dumpster

A 30 yard roll-off is a construction and large-cleanout container. Its taller walls suit bulky, lightweight debris that runs out of volume long before it runs out of weight.

40 Yard Dumpster

A 40 yard roll-off is the largest container most Texas providers list. It exists for high-volume, low-density debris — not for heavy material.

FAQ

Construction & Remodeling questions

It depends on phase and debris volume. Many remodels use one container with one or two swaps rather than several containers at once.
